Baking and decorating your very own cupcakes is easy and loads of fun! You'll leave this fun workshop with all the skills and tips, and your very own recipe book manual so you can repeat the process easily at home.
Before you know it, you'll be confidently baking and frosting cupcakes all the time. In fact, you'll be relieved to discover just how easy it really is to make your very own recipes too, as you vary out your flavours, colours and styles. That way you can tailor your cupcakes to everybody's desires.
First of all, you'll make 18 fresh lemon cupcake bases, 18 sumptuous vanilla cupcake bases, then 18 rich chocolate cupcake bases, then 18 Red Velvet cupcake bases. The recipes are tried and true and absolutely delicious. While your cupcakes are baking we'll share morning tea.
Next, we'll teach you how to make the best buttercream for frosting, which can be coloured and flavoured. You'll learn how to make a tangy buttermilk & cream cheese frosting for your red velvet cupcake.
We'll go into full detail about piping tips, their shapes and numbers and, fun, fun, fun you'll get to experiment with piping styles, and then you'll be able to start piping onto your very own cupcakes.
We'll also have you making a cupcake filling from scratch! Just you wait until you taste our decadent chocolate ganache made with the World's finest Belgian chocolate to go inside your chocolate cupcake!
You'll take home ???? cupcakes to share (or not) with friends & family, who will love them.
Your instructors Andrew Dyer and Robin Imms were the co-owners of Planet Yum, and have been soaping for 15 years. They will generously share their years of knowledge and tips. They'll teach you everything from lye preparation through to oil selection, fragrances & essential oils, goat's milk soap making, tips and tricks for success, and the use of botanicals and about labelling laws. They'll share the suppliers of the raw materials too, so you'll be able to purchase all the ingredients to continue your natural soap making journey.
DURATION: 10am to 4 pm. Maximum of only 12 places so please book today! Remember if you book a group of 11 your seat is free. If you are intending to book a group of 11 please contact us before purchase so we can secure a date that works for your group alone. AGE REQUIREMENTS: The minimum age for participants in this course is 16 years old. However, contact us to further discuss.
WHAT TO WEAR: Don't wear good clothes. Wear old clothes, long sleeves and closed footwear. Don't wear sandals or thongs.
LUNCH & REFRESHMENTS: A light lunch & refreshments will be provided. Please let us know in the comments field if you have any special dietary requirements and we will be happy to accommodate.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to reschedule to another date please let us know as soon as this information is available. We do not provide a refund. If you cannot make it to the workshop, we are happy for you to send another person instead, or to transfer your booking to another time slot. We do not offer a refund if you are unable to attend. In the rare event that we need to cancel your class we will let you know as soon as this information comes to hand. We would look to reschedule the workshop date for you and would be most happy to reschedule to a date of your choosing. If circumstances cannot be worked with we will provide a full refund of your course costs. We are unable to refund any transport or accommodation costs you may have incurred. That said, we would do our utmost to ensure all courses proceed as planned where there is the usual possibility to do so.
