Pre-Requisite Knowledge or Study: It's best to start with Crave School's Custom Perfume Creation experience if you've had no training or experience working with professional perfumery aromas.  However, if you've had some experience or a passion and desire for creating perfumes you can use this course to fast track you.

In Crave School's Art of Perfumery class you'll learn about the Major Perfume Families and their sub-groups; you'll go on a scented journey to experience all the scents in general as a way of familiarising yourself with the raw materials of perfumery so you can make your own perfume on the day.  You'll learn how to make dilutions and we'll teach you how to get started with making a perfume; how it all comes together. We'll use an iconic perfume as a case study of how perfumers create. You'll learn a classic industry method of creating perfume accords which are the magic spells for creating professional perfumes. We'll share with you a basic accord for each of the perfume families so you can have a starting point to build on. You'll also learn how to add special effects to the heart of your perfume to give it lift and diffusion, and how to give your perfume longevity with blenders and fixatives. 

Come and experience one of the world's most wonderful fine arts; we will give you all the information about where you can purchase your raw materials, equipment and atomisers.  When you leave this workshop, you’ll have the necessary skills to continue your own journey developing your own fragrance lines for fun or profit. You’ll be surprised at how much profit is to made from perfume. 

Please note this is not an essential oil-based workshop. We'll also be using safe synthetics & professional industry-based nature-identical aromas. Remember: 'natural' doesn't always mean non-toxic, and 'synthetic' doesn't always mean toxic. The materials used are authorised safe & non-toxic by the World IFRA (International Fragrance Regulation Authority). 

DURATION:  10am to 4 pm.  Maximum of only 12 places so please book today! Remember if you book a group of 11 your seat is free. AGE REQUIREMENTS:  The minimum age for participants in this course is 16 years old. Contact us if you feel the proposed under 16 student is mature enough.

LUNCH & REFRESHMENTS: A light lunch & refreshments will be provided.  Please let us know in the comments field if you have any special dietary requirements and we will be happy to accommodate. 

CANCELLATION POLICY:  If you need to reschedule to another date please let us know as soon as this information is available.  We do not provide a refund. If you cannot make it to the workshop, we are happy for you to send another person instead, or to transfer your booking to another time slot.  We do not offer a refund if you are unable to attend. In the rare event that we need to cancel your class we will let you know as soon as this information comes to hand. We would look to reschedule the workshop date for you and would be most happy to reschedule to a date of your choosing. If circumstances cannot be worked with we will provide a full refund of your course costs. We are unable to refund any transport or accommodation costs you may have incurred.  That said, we would do our utmost to ensure all courses proceed as planned where there is the usual possibility to do so.
