This is a 5-hour, hands-on practical and theory workshop. From the moment you begin sniffing & smelling and awakening your nose, you’ll be on a scented journey through each of the perfume families, becoming familiar with their unique scents. You'll learn how to 'sniff' aromas correctly, and how to dilute materials, and where to buy the materials.

To support your knowledge of how to begin creating & designing your own perfume, we'll explore a Case Study of a World-Famous Iconic Perfume. You'll learn about the perfumery scented materials (odours) used by professional perfumers, both naturals and synthetics and you'll become more familiar with base notes, middle/heart notes and top notes. You will learn ratios of combining these notes so you can create your very own perfume to take home with you.

In the future you can enrol in the Perfumery Masterclass where you will take your basic knowledge even further by learning how to create more complex perfumes. You'll learn the materials that give the most impact, lift and diffusion to a perfume.  You'll receive an accord formula for each of the perfume families which you can use as a starting point for your own imagination.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  If you need to reschedule to another date please let us know as soon as this information is available. If you cannot make it to the workshop, we are happy for you to send another person instead, or to transfer your booking to another time slot. In the rare event that we need to cancel your class we will let you know as soon as this information comes to hand. We would look to reschedule the workshop date for you and would be most happy to reschedule to a date of your choosing.

If circumstances cannot be worked with we will provide a full refund of your course costs. We are unable to refund any transport or accommodation costs you may have incurred.  That said, we would do our utmost to ensure all courses proceed as planned where there is the usual possibility to do so.
